Adsense makes sense
Hi,It took some time to find inspiration for a new contribution to my blog: it seems to become more and more difficult to fail. All the craps must have gone to the dogs ...
So let's talk about success (ooh gosh I'm not feeling so well ..., the word 'success' always make me shiver).
Well it's about Adsense. I have these ads on my sites running for several years now, and while putting these on my site I didn't care much about their placement. That's a mistake, a BIG mistake. It does care where you put the ads on your site.
I changed some ads on one of my sites and the clicks on my adsense jumped up, the click rate increased by a factor 4.
What did I do:
- Placed ads in the left upper corner of the page
- Text arranged to the right of the ad so that the ads 'blend' in
- Changed the colors of the ad to be inline with the surrounding text (no borders or attention drawing colors!)
- And finally I added some adsense Links ads
And yep clicks mega-jumped. It looks like my Maserati is coming near.
