Exactseek versus Adwords

No I've not given up, not yet...
Some 2 weeks ago I had the excellent, may say superb idea, to launch an Exactseek campaign.

This adwords like advertising system gives you a 3 months ad display (format to be compared with adwords) for a mere $12. A real bargain... ahum ... again A Real Bargain... doesn't sound convincing.
After 14 days I got exactly 14 clicks, one click (1, uno) each day, current cost : $1/click.
In comparison using adwords I only paid $0.05/click. So even if my clicks double it will be more expensive than Adwords.
Am I allowed to put this on my failure list? Think so: Exactseek isn't exactly fulfilling it's promises.

Doorway-pages? They still work!

Your beloved web marketing guru has survived the annual festivities. So I'm happy start a new year full of web marketing failures, cause that's my main wish: to fail where no one else failed before.
Although the year barely started, I already have a failure to fail to announce. Remember on Nov. 2, 2004 I created some 100 doorways pages to promote my 'Telescopes' web site. I was at that time quite convinced that this would not work.
I was wrong, exactly 2 month after the creation of the doorway pages, the traffic to this site (1 real page and 100 fake pages) started to flow. No, not zillions of visitors, but some dozens a day, enough to show that the doorway pages do have an effect (I also created a double blind page for verification).
What now? Nothing I'll wait and see what happens next, if the traffic increases further, I'll make a real Telescopes' shop. Come and visit me over there.
